A strategic group of Senior leaders URG Leaders who assist the DIB team to implement the strategy and align the strategy to the Division’s strategic imperatives

A strategic group of senior leaders who embed DIB strategy into business operations and provide critical insights on divisional imperatives. Members bring diverse capabilities including geographic expertise, division knowledge, and representation from underrepresented groups.

Responsibilities

  1. Embed DIB strategic imperatives into business goals.
  2. Unblock obstacles in global DIB strategy implementation.
  3. Provide division and geographic insights to the DIB team.
  4. Represent DIB in E-group and CEO Skips syncs.
  5. Act as DIB Interruptors—actively advocate, challenge norms, and iterate to keep Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging top of mind.

Structure & Members

Senior leadership representative (Sr. Dir+) from each department, plus a manager+ from an underrepresented group where Sr. Dir+ URG representation isn’t available.

  • People - Represented by DIB and the PBPs

  • VP of DIB - Leadership DIB Council Lead

  • Executive Sponsors

Selection Requirements

  • Nominated by E-Group member
  • Performing well (not in performance management)
  • Full-time team member (including PEO and contractors)
  • Minimum 6 months tenure
  • Strong understanding of DIB issues and initiatives (TMRGs, Unconscious Bias, Psychological Safety, etc.)
  • Ability to advocate for both department needs and DIB strategy

Process

  1. DIB Team adds nominations to E-Group Weekly Meeting agenda
  2. E-Group has two weeks to submit nominations to CPO or VP of DIB
  3. Nominees must be pre-notified
  4. New members receive introduction, mission overview, and accountability briefing
  5. Members acknowledge commitments before joining

Accountabilities and Commitments

Members Commit to:

Active Participation

  • Attend regular sync meetings (AM or PM PST, rotating to accommodate all time zones)
  • Participate in discussions, provide insights, and take action items
  • Review notes or recordings from missed meetings
  • Advocate for and sponsor DIB programs, initiatives, and trainings

On-Going Engagement

  • Contribute asynchronously via Slack, GitLab, or other channels
  • Seek and distribute DIB information within your department
  • Serve as trusted advisor on DIB issues
  • Maintain selection requirements
  • Dedicate 2-3 hours monthly, including the monthly meeting

Duration: Minimum one-year commitment

All DIB council members will be added to our internal Google Group for invitations and communication.
