Trump's team renews push for US takeover of Greenland

Donald Trump insists the US should annex Greenland for security and economic reasons. DW examines three possible scenarios for how he could attempt to acquire the Arctic island, which belongs to Denmark.

Greenland, the world's largest island, is back in Washington's sights.

US President Donald Trump has called it "strategic" and renewed talk of annexation, offering to buy the territory and back independence from Denmark.

His administration has appointed a special envoy and says military action remains on the table.
