Maduro capture 'not a law enforcement operation' by US

The arrest of Venezuela's president constitutes "a violation of international law, pure and simple," said Christopher Sabatini, senior research fellow for Latin America, US and the Americas Program at Chatham House.

US President Donald Trump is "also now looking at Colombia, Cuba and Mexico," Christopher Sabatini told DW, adding that "the US isn't about to invade Greenland, but [Trump] is trying to send a signal [to Denmark and Europe]: This is the new sheriff in town, you'd better listen to what we want."
