@TParcollet regarding #1469 -> I commented out all assertions that are out of my control for testing the profiling wrapper. There are too many changes on how many nested functions are called for changes of package installation, libraries, OS, ... - this way testing is more slim but shouldn't raise issues in the future. let's see
