Hi, I'm Mal

Backend engineer focused on building tools that stay out of your way. I mostly work in Python, with some Go and shell scripting mixed in depending on what the job calls for.

What I'm into:

  • CLI tools and automation
  • DevOps infrastructure and internal tooling
  • Making repetitive things disappear

Tech I reach for:

  • Python — primary, daily driver
  • Go — when I need something fast and self-contained
  • Shell — glue, cron jobs, the usual
  • Docker / Linux — pretty much always in the picture

Currently working on:

A small CLI utility for managing local dev environment configs across machines. Nothing fancy, just scratching an itch.
