The test was spawning a goroutine that would block forever waiting for a second report that never came. The Loop() would exit after detecting the closed opChan, leaving the goroutine hanging.

Fixed by removing the unnecessary blocking goroutine and properly waiting for the Loop to complete via the doneChan.

Also added goleak.VerifyNone() to catch any future goroutine leaks in this test.

Fixes #134563

Hi @VijetaPriya47. Thanks for your PR.

I'm waiting for a github.com member to verify that this patch is reasonable to test. If it is, they should reply with /ok-to-test on its own line. Until that is done, I will not automatically test new commits in this PR, but the usual testing commands by org members will still work. Regular contributors should join the org to skip this step.

Once the patch is verified, the new status will be reflected by the ok-to-test label.

I understand the commands that are listed here.

Change seems correct. Note the invalid-commit-message warning from the bot; don't refer to bug numbers in the commit message, because that causes the github issue to get spammed with references

Adding label do-not-merge/contains-merge-commits because PR contains merge commits, which are not allowed in this repository.
