Summary of Changes

Hello @riggaroo, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request introduces a significant new feature that enables users to enhance their bot images with AI-generated backgrounds. It involves integrating with a new AI model, extending the application's data and network layers, and updating the user interface to support the selection and display of these new background 'vibes', complete with loading indicators.

Highlights

  • New Feature: AI Background Generation: Introduced a new 'Vibes' tool that allows users to apply preset AI-generated backgrounds to their bot images. This feature leverages a new image editing AI model.
  • AI Model Integration: Integrated with a new Firebase AI model, gemini-2.0-flash-preview-image-generation, to perform image background edits. The model name is configurable via remote config.
  • Loading State and UI Updates: Added a new loadingShimmerOverlay Composable to provide visual feedback during the AI image generation process. The UI now dynamically displays the original or AI-edited image based on the selected vibe.
  • Data and ViewModel Logic: Extended the ImageGenerationRepository and FirebaseAiDataSource with a generateImageWithEdit function. The CustomizeExportViewModel now manages the state for selected vibes, triggers AI generation, and updates the UI with the resulting image.
  • New Tool Options and Prompts: Defined new VibeOptions (e.g., 'Yeehaw', 'Island', 'Intergalactic') each with a specific AI prompt to guide the background generation.
  • Testing: Added comprehensive unit tests for the CustomizeExportViewModel to ensure the new AI image editing functionality and state management work as expected.

Code Review

This pull request introduces the ability to add a preset AI-generated background to the bot image. The changes span across the data, network, and feature layers, including new UI components and view model logic.

Overall, the implementation is well-structured. However, I've identified a few critical issues related to stability and adherence to Compose best practices that should be addressed. Specifically, there are cases of unsafe null handling, missing error handling for network calls, and incorrect usage of Compose animation APIs that could lead to crashes or UI freezes. I've also included some medium-severity suggestions to improve code maintainability.
