Mozilla Festival
Early bird badges available until 31 May
Mozilla Festival, aka MozFest, is three days of bold conversations, hands-on building, and ideas worth traveling for.
This year, MozFest is taking over Barcelona's Recinte Fabra i Coats—a former industrial complex turned cultural powerhouse—from Wednesday, October 28 through Friday, October 30, 2026.
We are partnering with the City of Barcelona and taking part in Open Tech Week — a city-wide celebration of the people shaping a better digital world.

2026 Theme: Wilding
In a moment when technology feels increasingly centralized, extractive, and controlled, Wilding is a provocation: what happens when we loosen rigid systems and create the conditions for communities and technologies to evolve collectively, naturally, intuitively?
Inspired by ecological practices of rewilding, where gardens and forests are left to regenerate through their own intelligence, this theme explores what it means to let our digital worlds grow wilder, more diverse, and more alive. It means community-owned mesh networks, federated platforms, open protocols, community archives and tools built on transparency, trust and mutual flourishing.
“At MozFest, Wilding is an invitation to restore balance: cultivating infrastructures rooted in care, mutuality, and collective action.”
Co-created with you
Most festivals hand you a program. We build ours with community.
People from around the world propose the sessions, host the conversations, and shape what MozFest becomes each year.
That means the program stays close to what's actually happening on the ground—what you're working on, worried about, and ready to change.
You don't just attend. We co-build together.

2025 Festival Highlights
Revisit 2025’s Great Unlearning
In 2025, more than 2000 people came together In Barcelona to unlearn the old rules of the internet—and imagine new ways to build, connect, and create together.
Mainstage moments included Ruha Benjamin exploring how power operates through the stories we inherit and how breaking free from them can unlock new ways of thinking and building, and Chelsea Manning sharing her 'world of new learnings'—both a cautionary tale and a call to action.
2,000 people. One shared direction.
We’re painting our vision together.
Delight in the unexpected. Technology. Art. Even fashion.
Sometimes the best discoveries happen between sessions.
