Warning over children skating on frozen lake
Police said youths had been going on a frozen lake and using it as an ice skating and scooter stunt area

Young people have been risking injury by going on to the ice of a frozen boating lake in Derbyshire, police have warned.
Beat teams said the frozen water at Hall Leys Park in Matlock had been used as an "ice-skating rink/scooter stunt area" during the ongoing cold snap.
A spokesperson added that "it is still deep enough to cause some level of injury to any persons attempting to recreate Torvill and Dean's Bolero", in reference to the Olympic-winning performance of the ice-skating pair.
Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said it had received reports of young people "venturing on to ice" this week and asked parents and carers to discuss the dangers of frozen water with children.
It asked people to stay off the ice, keep dogs on leads nearby, and to call 999 if anyone enters frozen water.
A fire service spokesperson added: "It may be tempting to venture on to frozen water but no matter how solid it may look it very rarely is."
