Considering taking a detour via the hashpoint on my way to work, at around 8–8:30 am. The point should be trivially easy to visit.

Expedition

When I woke up in the morning, I was going to execute the plan and get to the hashpoint early, but then I got annoyingly delayed for about an hour for multiple reasons. Oh well, I would get to work a bit late (no problem though as my working time is flexible), but at least I would be at the hashpoint during civil twilight instead of nautical twilight and actually catch something on camera. I could also have aimed to be there at sunrise at 10:13, but that would have been excessively late. Another option would have been to go after work in the evening, but then it would have been dark again.

I left from home, checked the outside temperature (−19 °C) and set off towards Alppila. I mostly prioritised keeping my hands warm over taking photos but still could not resist taking a few. I reached the hashpoint without any trouble, quickly documented the visit and then cycled to work. After having cycled 13.8 kilometres in the freezing weather I was again in a comfortably warm place. According to my smart ring, I actively burned 1016 kilocalories, but I have a feeling that might be an overestimate.
