Editors’ Choice celebrates the very best apps and games—handpicked by App Store Editors around the world.

Whether it was helping us with math fundamentals or quantum computing concepts, this STEM learning app proves that the most effective (and fun) way to learn is both interactive and visual.
We knew we loved it when: We started thinking in code. To help a delivery vehicle complete its daily rounds, Brilliant got us to approach the problem like computer scientists. We’d write, refine, and debug programs by rearranging blocks of code, before gradually transitioning to the real-world coding language Python.
Our favorite discovery: “Learning by doing” really works! Initially, Brilliant’s quirky logic puzzles—like figuring out the best way to seat finicky robots on an airplane—left us totally baffled. But after dragging and dropping different combinations, everything eventually clicked. The secret was to focus on where a robot couldn’t be placed. Success!

Biggest surprise: How motivating it was to earn points for completing the app’s mini-lessons. Soon we were climbing the public leaderboards and earning a satisfying promotion to a higher level. Next stop, the Einsteinium League!
